As of September 2026, Mississauga allows open house directional signs up to 1 metre high and 0.8 square metres per face, a maximum of six per open house, displayed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the day only. Toronto allows a maximum face of 0.5 square metres, a height of 0.5 to 1.0 metres, a maximum width of 0.6 metres, a maximum of six per property, and the signs must not be staked into the ground. Brampton permits open house A-frames only, at a maximum of 0.35 square metres and 0.6 metres high. Note that Toronto’s rule says directional signs must not be staked and sets a 0.6 metre width limit, and a 24-inch sign is about 0.61 metres wide, so confirm with the City of Toronto before using a staked 24-inch sign there.
